Lovely weather, good atmosphere, wonderful organization, enjoyable
amount of participants, these were a few things of the 1st. Coburger
Run-and Bike-Night event, organized by the newly founded club
“ Run and Bike Coburg”.
Start and finish line was the sporting öot of the TSV Scheuerfeld
nearly Coburg in Bavaria. You could choose between a halfmarathon(21,1km)
of course a marathon, a team sprint of 9km´s with the classes
of men, women and mixed, even they offered a Nordic Walking run
of 12km, and something for the kids a so called “ Jambo Bukoba”
a children relay run over 2x400m.
At the run and bike dicsiplin the participants could change between
themselves like they wanted to. The orga-team of this event was
really satisfied with there work.
The course was made up with 2 rounds in the wonderful area of
Coburg/ Bavaria. You had to run/bike from Scheuerfeld to Wüstenahorn
around Lake Wolfgang, than the path lead crossing the Callenberger
Forest to Lake Goldberg and back to the scenery point.
We, from team-Pirate did the marathon and finished on the 6th
place with a time of 3:41:06h.
