Cologne Triathlon Weekend, Saturday ... The Smart-Distance

Triathlon weekend in Cologne with sunshine and 20degrees.Participators were Pirate Stephan, photograph and Cologne-Half-Distance starter Maren ( on sunday) and Benni, the dog, an pro, by playing ball and on the running course. We stood in line for the doping in the morning, an expresso will do such a good work... After the check-in of the bikes, we went to the fitting…does it still fit??? Attack…Pirates are coming… Early in the morning, Stephan got some problems with putting on his bathing cap. The start was done with fire-works and 772 triathletes made up their way thru the waters and us, right in between. I did it, I finished under the first 20 in my age-group, goal achieved, only 3 months after my broken colar bone operation. Studying a Pirate while running…this is the way Pirates from Ratingen are running… Afterwards, it was time for beer, the medals and the “Hawaii flowers” for Benni..
