But at least we wanna have some fun, this was the parameter for us, even by this circumstances. Freezy, windy, well really uncomfortable, but we made our way to the 1st Dachser Duathlon. The locality and the duathlon were nearby our hometown, so we did the 17km to the start by bike with headwind, on the duathon wewere on the start with 2 Pirates, Robert chiKKen Dreyling and Jörn Capt´n Klotz Faul. ChiKKen had quite a good mood just before the start, not to be overseen. And their was the start, we had to run first 3 rounds thru the forest, which made together 5,4km, than we had to go on our bikes on 2 rounds ( really windy) but flat for 21km. Because we still hadn´t got enough we ran another 2 rounds and 3,6km. And while it was a fun race for the capt´n, he won´t run with all the others, he stayed on the line( racing line) and the racing line was nice pink( like our team colors, and he recieved each round a kiss from his daughter Timika. Than we could grab our bikes finally, for me ist the onlky thing making fun on a duathlon. It was a bit crowdy on the streets, just 2m wide and because of the length of the track, 10km around the Blausteinsee, so you didn´t even had the chance to leave the drafting box of 10mx3m. It was almost impossible… ChiKKen pushed the shit out of him on the first run and on the bike course and had everything under control, but it seemed to me for sure that he would liked more some hills instead of the wind. But on the bike you can see, that Capt´n Klort did a almost serious job in this duathlon, because he did a great effort on the bike. The last 2 rounds of run seemed to be allright for both of them, and even for >Timika, because Cap´t dad ran with his daughter across the finish line. They were the winners of the hearts and almost the persons who were most photographed during the race J Conclusion is...it was a real nice and good organized small event and a great acclamation for the team of the Marathon Club Eschweiler for their first duathlon competition. Go on… If there were some organizer from the Inde-triathlon, take a sharp look and learn… Our results: 168 duathletes finished Captainklotz Platz 24 in 1h12min57sek Chikken Platz 39 in 1h15min29sek Off we go at home and until the next time while attacking 2010 – we are there - Captainklotz&Mädels&Chikken - Team Pirate Juliacum
