On Sunday, Ansgar( Pirate on probation) and myself wanted to particpate
at the CTF of TUS Engter. Wonderful course with lots of meters
of altitude across the Wieherngebirge, like a poem for every MTB-biker.
“The forest calls you…” they said on the internet side. So packed
our bikes in the van and off we go.
On the way there we thought about which distance we should absolve…beginner…normal…or
the course for real men…So, we decided to do the 50km and than
maybe the longer…wait and see, but after 40km, we “The Heroes”
were tired and asked ourselves, why the heck, we didn´t choose
the short one, where we belong. At the end we had 55km and 800m
of altitude across roots, stones and lots of mud. The bikes weight
after the race at least 5kg more than at the beginning, because
of mud and dirt
Despite of that, it was lots of fun. A great course, which makes
you please for more, even for us, old mules, and maybe we learn,
how to cross for real…
We had lots of mud
Where you have a forest, there are roots for sure and they are
wet and slippery for sure.
One of short way to relax and recover
Our „ Dirt-Bikes“
