Finally the day arrived, the day to escape from ice-cold Germany
and to travel to some warmer realms. Training-campon Furteventura
was on the schedule, where I wanted to collect my first bike km´s
and of course to get some basic stamina. I had the thought and
the will to do so, but something went wrong, because the wind
let me ride only in higher pulse area´s.
This time I wasn´t accompanied by Capt´n Speed and his pirate
bride, but in a hotel, where 99,9% of the guest shave their legs,
you soon be able to catch up with somebodies. At the firsdt evening
I met some triathlete´s from the RTC FRECHEN ( Tobi, Marianne,
Gotthard, Sascha and Rabea, at this points some spezial greetings
and a big THANK YOU at theire adress).
All the days were planned…exercise, eating, exercise, eating, exercise, eating, sleeping.
But it was never boring, you also had the time to enjoy the sun,
the wind and the scenery…J
Also their were some time for culture, you could enjoy yourself
by watchin modern and abstract art…
There were wind and sun everywhere you took a look and this recovered
all the damages of the long, cold winter at home...and of course
the scenery...
But nevertheless, even a wonderful holiday comes to an end, and
after some long, hard struggles with the sun, wind and natives,
I can tell you...taking over Fuerteventura succeeded !!!
I stayed at the Hotel Las Playitas, a very nice and comfortable
hotel, I can recommend it, just one thing, they´re not that good
with the internet. But you can see stars and starlets very close
and also you can join them in the pool(by mistake) and swim some
lanes with them to find out later on which lane you are and with
who you´re doing lanes…
I wish you all a healthy and successully year of 2010
We´ll see us
