Moin Pirates,
Last week I travelled to Lake Gardo and went on Wednes- and Thursday on a hald day tour. But first of all I rent me a bike at the local bike shop “Los Locos” in Lazise, a “ Ghost Mtb”. I wasn´t the absolute classics, but 40,-€ for 3 days was a good price and the bolide did a good job. The first tour I did, was with a good friend of mine, which I met in Cisano, the starting point in Garda. The tour we choose, was on of the “GPS-Bikeguide 1 “ from Andreas Albrecht and with a little bit help of the mobile sofware of www.trackspace.de we were able to follow t, without getting lost. The tour went from Garda to Monte Belpo, where we had this fantastic view over Garda, Bardolino and Lazise.

We didn´t ride to Lumini, becaus I´ve already seen this village last year. The tour was really ambitious, with gravel passages, trails and crossing fences…and after crossing one fence, we met a donkey….

And finally on the downhill part to Garda on a gravel way, I kissed the ground. Suddenly the gravel became loose and rough, so my front wheel lost the contact to the road and with a forward somersault with a1/2 twist I hit the ground, but luckily nothing worse happened besides some bruises on the knees and elbows. When we arrived back in Garda after 3,5h we had 30km and 850m of altitude.

The tour on Thursday lead us from Cisano to Monte Moscal, Rocca Vechia, Bardolino and back to Lazise. After all we had 3h on the clock, again 30km and 500m of altitude, but we had a single trail with, I gotta say it just to you, a part, where we had to get of our bikes to push them up the hill and a short break because of forest works, but with a nice and friendly “ Buongiorno” we could go on…
Now I´m prepare myself for the upcoming race on sunday at the MTB-festival in the valley of Tegernsee. And at least the weather will become a litlle bit better. Having said this…

Under Jolly Roger...

Greetings
Mike
