Just ride to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and pack yourselves some swim,
run, walk and bike stuff, including your MTB. And that´s what
we did…
On the way there it only rained the whole time, so I only ran
an hour in the evening, on the very next morning the weather didn´t
look much better, so we went to the city and bought us some rain
coats. And because a Klamm is really awesome while its raining
or even more, we went there to take a shower, err..well, to take
a look at it, the Höllentalklamm.
Taking a break at the Höllentalklamm hut was something like obligation.
The next day, the weather became nicer, and so we grabbed our
bikes and rode one time around the Zugspitze.
On the day after, we rode to the Staffelsee, no mountains for
one day were quite good for the legs, and of course we wanted
to swim as well. Sadly I didn´t have my wet suit with me and the
lake had only 16 degrees, so, the swimming became only a short
unit. J
In between I´ve always been running, because the half maratohn
at the 26th of september drews closer. And because climbing mountains
is a good kind of exercise, I walked or climbed up the Ostewrfelder
a few days later, about 1300m of altitude.
The strange thing on the right side of the picture is the „ Alpspix“.
There you stand levitating on iron gates over the abyss and could
watch the surrounding valleys and more. But it wasn´t a good thing
for me, I rather hang on a rope...
On the next day I ran 21km and after it 1000m up to the Karwendelhaus
on the Hochalmsattel, you shoudn´t belazy during your holidays…
But the ride down the valley made more fun After this we found
out, that Andre is not a lawyer, he runs a hostel, and because
of this we bend a little bit the sign…;-)
And finally the hoilday was all over, but we coming back, no question!
