It was a clear case for the Team Pirate Juliacum, 4 starts, even if our goals were a little bit higher... The captain on his way to the 2nd transition area. The 2nd place at the Indeland triathlon is a good affirmation answer of the 2nd place of the year before. The only difference is, last year we had a biker from Australia and he burned a 49km/h average speed on the 20km bitume course and this year he made his way to the Tout de France. But our rivals this year were almost on par with us, and of course beatable. But the 2nd place is allright as well, because we do it just for fun. After 3 wins and one 2nd place by 4 startes, we´re really satisfied with the first half of the year. The “chiKKen” on the bike: and full throttle until death... But our team this year is good and balanced at this event. Sebastian left the water after 7:52min as 7th. ChiKKen, did the 2nd best bike split of the day and reached the finished the bike part on the 2nd place, he just needed 31:51minutes, and than it was the time for the capt´n, he did also the 2nd best run split and tried to catch the leading relay team: He needed 19:57minutes for the 5,5km. Full throttle, but noc chance… Capt´n Klotz at the closing run. 2nd place from about 60 relay-teams on the sprint-distance is allright or not??? But the 3rd Indeland triathlon were clouded by a bad accident in the lake, until today it ´s not really clear what really happened. Stunned by first sight, when you read the headline of the Jülicher newspaper…and when you see the picture of the Capt´n right next to it… Or sympathy is with the relatives of the victim and her family from a town nearby… And so the 2nd place guys looked like afterwards, really satisfied or not???.
