Welcome to the FIFA World Championchip 2010 or the folding bike WC 2010 in Pfronten… Gladness instead of sadness of reaching the finals for the capt´n of the BSN-PIRATE-Team, Ubi Blutsventje, at the folding bike WC in Pfronten. And I didn´t expect the 7th overall place…
After a neutral start, we had to ride 6km and 640m of altitude on the folding bikes.

Right in front of a fantastic mountain scenery the way found its gravelled way in several curves up the Breitenberg. After the problems at the WC last year from a too long conversion and a broken frame, I now had a stronger frame and a 24er bevel.

In between, while the course had his most ascents and the deapest gravel, you had to shove your bike and after the curve back on the bike and push the throttle, becasue every meter counts, especially on a WC.

It was a successful weekend for my folding bike pimping garage: on three identical bikes, Steffi Hadraschek became folding bike World champion and Michael Borchwaldt enjoyed himself over his 13th place, and myself were right in middle with my 7th place and 48:43min and really satisfied as well. Kudos to the organizer Hannes Zacherl for his unique fun event in line with the 7th MTB marathon Pfronten at the 3/4th of july 2010.
