… and we, so called „ Team Pirate Couch-Potatoes” were on the
start as a relay-team with the support from the “ex-pro couch
potato and local hero” and our sister… “ Kirsten “
We started in the Grambker sport filed in northern Bremen under
the watchful eyes of the DLRG ( German Baywatch ) and also the
police, because the triathlon were also German Police Championships.
I think the triathlon was the safest in the world. Maren did thew
swimming, Kirsten wanted to ride and my turn was to do the rest…running.
Before we´re getting started, we had to check the bike and to
pimp it up a little bit with our mascot. Here you see the girls,
Kirsten fit as ever and Maren by sleeping while standing…
 
Bremen, 9:45o´clock, very wet conditions, but the bathing cap
fits, after the swimming with wet suit ( the water had 21,5degrees)
we were on the 8th place…
With my sister, Kirsten on the bike, as I said before a „ex-pro
couch potato“ and did I mention non-cyclist, we had a specialist
in our team, it was a real challenge...but not for her...the upcoming
skepticism changed very fast to pure enjoying…but at the first,
only for her…we fell back on the 21th place after the bike-part.

I wasn´t reall yenjoying the stuff, I kept checking the clock,
where is she??? Maybe the took a wrong turn and lost the way???
Just pressing thumbs and teeth and wait until it was time for
my part…the running…
 
The home straight….17th overall…no injury in the relay-team and
afterwards a good meal, what do you want more?
