Because I only heard good stuff over the race in Plettenberg,
I was really excited and looking forward for this contest. When
we arrived in Plettenberg, you were able to feel the atmosphere
of it. It was like, everybdy here just lived for the event, no
matter if youŽre a MTB, Roadbiker or citizen of the city of Plettenberg.
Before I started on Sunday on the short distance, I was able to
foreseen, that IŽll finish 4th...but more later... Before we came
to the first ascent( Luckily I started up from the first row,
thank you for that), I got the feeling, I wa riding the Tour de
France. The viewers and spectators almost carried me up the mountain,
even later in the race, the audience were really awesome.
When we came to the end of the race, I got the feeling, that I
would finish 4th, but IŽm used to it, this would be my 5th 4th
place this year, but this time I missed the 3rd place only by
a second, this is really sux
Of course, you are in advance, when
you knew where the finish is J Please excuse me Ron, I would be
very proud to wear that Pirate jersey on the podium.
Despite of that, it was pure fun and I look back with a tear in
my eye on a wonderful event and Club-Championships. Special thanks
to my parents for the wonderful booby prize.
