just before getting started I gotta tell ya, that there arenŽt
many pictures of the race, while the official picture service
cancelled this event just before the start. I received this information
just a few days after the race after long and dogged questions
of myself. But it is like it is.
If I knew it before, I would have taken a picture from me just
before the start.
Back to the race. It was a dry day but it was cold, too cold for
this time of the season. The course was partly muddy and slobbery,
well the bike looked like that after the race.
I wanted to race on the middle distance with 42,5km and 1150m
of altitude, but you were allowed to choose during the race to
change on the longer distance, but I didnŽt do that, because the
weather and the floor conditions werenŽt the best.
You also had to push/shove your bike on an 2km long uphill part,
to ride here was almost impssible. Good thing was that I did during
the exercise a little bit of jogging, so I came quite good up
the hill.
Finally my time was 2:34h this was the 50th place in my aga-group
and the 163th overall from about 269 starters. I was satiesfid
with my result.
Now, I heading for one week to Lake Gardo, holidays afterall,
but I think IŽll ride the one or the other tour, while IŽm there
and of course IŽll take some pictures and will report it to you.
