Moin moin Pirates, on sunday the 6th of june 2010 it was time
again for the MTB-race at the Tegernsee. But I slept not that
good the night before, something felt like a heavy stone in my
stomach. At 6:25o´clock I made my way to Rottach-Egern, when I
arrived there at 7:45o´clock I received my starting package and
took some breakfast. The organization of this event was really
awesome again. Thumbs up
At 10:00o´clock was the start for the B-race with 58km and 1600m
of altitude. My goal this time was to finish under 3hours or under
3:14h, my time from last year. At 9:30o´clock I went to the starting
box, at this time it was quit hot for sure, under my helmet at
least 40°C. I really had to fight with the first mountain, well,
last year it was a little bit more easier…
But I fought my way up, at a few traffic bottleneck you had to
wait a while for the mass to pass, because there were more participants
this year than last year and at a 700m long passage you were also
able to take a walk for a while, while you´re pushing up your
bike. It was a nice enjoyable break for me.
After this I was warmed up for sure and everything went better
for me from now on.
After another pushing passage thru a forest I started to get cramps,
but after 2 or 3 minutes I was able to go on. The rest of race
was an up and down with lots of viewers, spectators and hikers
on the course, which cheered you always up again.
At the end I fisnihed with a time of 3:11. So, not my goal from
finishing under 3h but at least a bit under my time from last
year.
Age group placement 105th of 234 and overall 316 of 664.
Next year I´ll start for a next try again.
