Like fishes in a tank, triathlon in heavy rain-falls, Maren reaches
the 3rd in her aga-group.
the advertisement of a local IMBIß, were all right. You only stay
in shape today, while eating fish. Just water. Only at the swimming
is was dry…from above… We did a so called “ kind of mass market
sport “. A course with not usual distances of 700m swim, 33km
bike and 10km run, a very unusual distance…
When I took a look at the sky above, it told nothing good
While Maren fixed up her hair, and looked very sceptically at
the swim start on the other side of the lake, we had to walk there
at the shore, just to swim 700m back...
When you look in the transition area, is not much traffic there,
at the end, their wrre just 100 finisher and only 62 from 90 relay
teams reached the finish-line.
Just a few words over the contest, the water was really cold,
but we swa a really good time( for us) with wet suit. While we
were on the bike, we had heavy rain falls and stormy head wind
and on the run, no one cared about the weather anymore.
Once you become wet, you stay wet…
Maren took a close look at the results and began to smile…
She was really surprised about reaching the 3rd place in her age-group.
Conclusion: Well organized triathlon with unusual course distances,
only the heavy rain falls disturbed the flair.
