Year-end-closing by Robby and Beni

Maybe it was mistake to exercise on Wednesday with 3 marathon runners my conditions...But, don´t care, and I got wonderful sour muscles, after the 4 hours of exercise at the Alster. But whining won´t help you and so, I tried to mobilze my last energies for the race at the 30th in Vechta. The course was a little bit strange to me this year, because I only knew the course by having snow on it, and they changed the course also a little bit, they got some more ascents and some more pushing sections and lots of deep mud turns… THis time I was allowed to stand in the first row, right next to Sabrina Schweizer and to hurry up the first hill right behind her. Robby showed me how to do it, and he ended up on the 6th place. I really likd the course, and I was able to built up a group of three chasers with Susanne Juranek and Bettina Lambracht, sadly I crashed only 200m vefore the finish and ended up on the 8th place. Bad luck, but at least I got one more day to go and my sour muscles became better. Becky Sadowsky put some pictures online shortly after the race and so, robby and myself were able to analyse them in the evening... Day 2 and the last day of the year: Herford... It rained the whole night, and what means that to a race on a large meadow??? MUDDY... But anyway, wonderful crossing conditions, luckily, Dominic Karrasch is as large as me, and so he borrowed me his U15 bike...Robby K. Rode most of the time on the 8th place, as far as I could see from the bicycle ergometer, but he was able to pass some of the guys and ended up on the 4th place right behind Timo Berner, and that means, that he moved up on the 4th place as well in the overall ranking... Just moments later, it was time for me to ride, I didn´t care much about the muddy ground and even the running/pushing sections weren´t that bad. Sadly I had to change once and was passed by 3 others and I was only able to catch one of them again( Hanna Britz). At the end I crossed the finish line on the 9th place and in the overall rankin I was on the 10th place. With this results, I will start next weekend in the 2nd row. Please keep your thumbs press while we participate at the German Championships and in Buchholz.
