Spring and gasoline is in the air…

The 2nd of april brought “Kaiserwetter” ( bright sunny sky and warm temperatures) and of course the idea of the first excursion with 3digits. But this idea had lots more, no matter if you got a motor-or just a bike, or maybe by riding on 4 wheels but with open-topped. A real cheesy season-opener, flowering meadows at the shores of the the river Rhine and Wupper, twittering, loaded ice cream parlors and lots of quiet pale road-bikers. The handlebar of my roadbike, feels a little bit uncomfortable after the long winter, so, we stopped the first time after 40km in Wuppertal, where someone grabbed the last but one canvas chair right under our nose, and also we´re in trouble finding our bikes again in the maze of the others. Than we rode on passing Solingen towards Neandertal, and suddenly I knew, why this area is called „ Bergisches Land“ hilly countryside, there are some good uphill sections, which hurt a little bit in the quadriceps. The only thing to do is, extending your muscles and for the next uphill part, chossing a lower gear.   The final note of the tour, we made in “ Café Schräglage”, and enjoyed an alcoholic free wheat beer in the sundown, and enjoyed as well the feelings o the upcoming summer. And of course we were able to catch a little bit sunlight for our pale legs… Melina
