„The“  10 KM of Dürwiss

Today should be the big day of the Dragon Lady, today was the day to run a new personal best time over 10km. The run in Dürwiss is something like a “ set contest” and maybe as well, one of the fastest here in our environment. The only problem was the weather, they said something about dark clouds and lots of rain… Well, the perfect Pirate-Weather… Really relaxed only minutes before the start… And??? How it should be??? Pointly with the start, it started to rain, and not only rain more of it, it rained cats and dogs…unbelieveable… But who care´s, our goal was to run under 42minutes, and so I began, as usually in the last races, as a pacemaker, and when we passed 5km we were right in time 21minutes, like planned...now, push it a little bit more, and we would finish under 42minutes, and it worked, just running side to side with Heike, with high speed right thru the large field of the other participants. Just before the finish line, the rain became more, and shortly after the race, when we colled down down from the race...no raindrop anymore...;-) Perfect race…and Heike ended up on the third place in the regional Championships overall and 1st, in her age-group, and finished with a time of 41:41minutes. And everything, with support of a Pirate…   ATTACK and FULL THROTTLE chiKKen…!!!
