28th Rhein-Ruhr-Marathon in Duisburg at the 29th of  may 2011

Moin moin Piratas, Altogether about 6510 participants at the competition under almost perfect weather conditions. I wanted to run the half-marathon, it would by my 2nd this year, with the demand to upgrade my time. The start was directly at the MSV-stadium at 9:10o´clock, it was also the finish of the run. When you entered the stadium on your last meters towards the finish, you was being welcomed with a smoke maschine, light animation and thunderous applause of the spectators, it was like an olympic feeling. Well, I was actually faster than the fastest women. I finished with a time of 1:26:43 and was satisfied with it, but I got the feeling, that I would have run faster, maybe next time at the half-marathon in Leverkusen on the 19th of june. I ended up on the 54th place overall of 3008 and on the 10th place in my age-group(45) of 611.. Tuck in! Tom
