Forest run in Hambach

While weh ad a wonderful autumnal weather with bright sunny sky, but temperatures around the melting point,  I wanted to participate at the forest run in Hambach. Because I´m already within the last periods of my preparation for the Rursee-marathon, it was all clear, that I would run both offered distances, first the 7,2km run and later together with my dragonlady “ Heike” the 14,2km run, but in the longer run, I would something like the chasing rabbit for her.
Everything went fine on the 7k run, I wanted to run at least 4min/km, so near my limits, because, I used to ran in the last weekends more than 95km a week and I wanted to run the 14km run later.

Everything went good, I crossed the finish line with a time of 28:40min, that was the 6th place overall and 2nd in my age-group.
But now it was time to change my csweated clothes and to play rabbit for t e dragonlady at the 14km run. Heike obviously did´nt want to run near her limits, because she used to run more on lanes this year than street runs, that means she was missing a little bit of endurance for longer runs. When she changed this summer to run the longer ones, she needed 1:04h for the 14km, but his run got 14,2km, normally we should run an equal time.

After the start the party went on, Heike was on the 3rd position in the women´s race, but the 2nd were in sight, I hold up the speed, and we waited for the 2nd woman to brake in, but nothing happened, but we were able to run this speed until the finish and crossed the finish line with a time of 1:02h. It was a good race for Heike, she improved herself, she finished 3rd overall at the women´s race and 2nd in her age-group. I ended up on the 16th place and also 2nd in my age-group. It was a wonderful race Sunday and a perfect preparation for the Rursee-marathon.

See you soon…!!! ATTACK & FULL THROTTLE
