Seppel-Kiefer-Memory-Run in Bad Kreuznach

He it is,the 27th of march 2011, the day of my very first half marathon in this upcoming season, and also the first day after the clock change, which means, I had to stand up one hour earlier than usually to drive to Bad Kreuznach. Their should occur the Seppel-Kiefer-Memory-Run, the run where I ran my first half marathon last year. Should I mention, that I wanted to reach a new personel best time?? Foto: Mathias Pabst In the morning we had only 6 degrees, that was, what my thermometer of my car said, and sadly I only got short pants in my baggage, but it wasn´t that bad for the contest, because, a little bit later the sun came out So, I reached the finish line with a new personel best time of 1:36:52h, but I got the feeling, that there are still some resources for getting a little bit faster. I also reached the 3rd place overall and the 2nd place in my age-group. My legs felt quiet good, but my had wasn´t really free. I started really good, but than I became slower on the last third of the course, I kicked myself in my butt and pushed on a bit ( why do I train “kick-backs”? J to regain some more lost speed… Thanks a lot to Jonas Margraff for the pictures ‘ 1 and 3 and to Matthias Pabst for the 2nd picture and as well to Manuel Förster for the 4th picture of me and for theirwillingness to wait for the right moment to take a picture.
