Helmut´s ride to hell at the 10.04.2011 Finally the starting signal for the MTB-season of 2011 was helt. There were more than 60 starters at the opening race in Meudelfitz, and also the weather was really nice. The start went wuite good, but sadly I had to fix my bike after 10minutes in the race, my chain went off the chain ring. So, the first group, were out of sight…

After a catch-up race, I was able to catch Andre Zamponi and we rode together for the rest of the race, I already dreamed of a third place, but my power was only enough for the 4th place after a sprint for the finish line.
In spite of that, I was really satisfied with my results and performance. I was able to improove myself, under the same conditions in opposite to the year before, by 4:40minutes
Fabian Brezezinksi won the race, right before Torben Saßnik. One week later I wanted to race at the Harz-trophy, but my frame broke on Thursday, and I didn´t got a spare frame in such a short time, so I had to stay at home…
