East Tyrol

We were all excited that we were able to start and participate here, because our 4th man, went sick, the day before the race. But…no…we haven´t worked for more than half a year on the team work and more… With concentrated force, we tried everything to get a spare, but most of them haven´t got time, but not Constantin Munteanu, he just took the next train and travelled to East Tyrol, to support us. We were lucky, on egood thing is, that Constantin is the Rumanian Single-Time-Trial-Champion. The race was really hard, but it doesn´t sound like this, because you only had to ride 20km, but you had to ride it as fast as you can. 71 teams wanted to participate, and also some pro´s. One of the winning team rider ( 22:30min) was marco Haller, and he just finished 5th at the U-23 Roadbike-World Championships only a few days ago. They got nothing to spent… Out Pirate-Team finished on the 15th place of 71, with a time of 25:04. It´s not a bad time, but we can improve it, I think next year. We fighted until the bitter end… At the Speed & Style assessment we almost hit the podium with our Pirate-Time-Trial-Suits, but some other maybe bribed the jury… At the following party was also the legendary Marende Stadl, which is well known is Austria.
