What to do on pentecoste weekend....

...I thought to myself, and so we drove to visit my family in the Swiss. Well, now its season, the weather was good and casually their was a contest near by in Lausanne, where I always wanted to participate, so, registered fastly and packed my bike, I could choos between three different distances: middle, olympic or sprinting distance, because I haven´t trained that much this year, because of work and studies, I decided to do the sprinting distance just for fun. There were also some Swiss pro´s on the start on every distance. The wonderful overview on the lake- before the storm…. I started at 9:30 after the middle and before the olympic distance, allrighty than, let´s pull on the rubber skin… Just to smile a liast time for the camera´s… ...and off we go. The water wasn´t that cold as expected, and the swimming went also quite good, and after 750m I came to the shore to the large transition area to get on my bike, and shortly after the transition area, just 200m, came the first steep ascent, with 18%…. Followed by some hills, but the down hill sections were really nice, it was a really nice course. Back at the bike finish… Changing to my running shoes, just to run 5km on a flat course besides the lake and thru the forest. In the finish area, with the mother-in-law. I was really satisfied with my 10th place overall and my 2nd place in my age-group…and yes there were more than two starters in my age-group… On pentecost monday I rode a small tour thru the environment of Lausanne... Conclusion: it was nice again, a wonderful contest, and its worth participating here. And Don´t worry dear, I´ll be back again   Chain starboard, Nina
