Final race of the  Consul Cup in St.Roman Austri at the  4.9.2011 Well, this was the 7th and last race of the Consul Cups, the so called „ Sauwaldmann“ over 75km and 1350m of altitude and all of the stuff in North of Austria, where normally are no mountains. But there were mountains, some small and fine “ lactate-hills”, this is how the austrian call the small mountains. We got really good weather and good streets and until point 35km of the course I was able to ride with the leading group, but than I had to let go, because I already suffer since two weeks on a cold. After 1 ½ hours my lungs were wide open, so I was ready for the final ascent with a length of 9km with about 8-10%. Heavy Metal... Conclusion : 2:21:16h – 20th place and in the Cup-assessment the 6th place overall.   Ps. Congratulations for your 25th birthday, stay tuned….   Lots of greetings from Salzburg Wolferl
