Salute Pirates, out of the kingdom of Württemberg

Michael already told you something about entering Albstadt at the 9th of july 2011. I gotta menton at this point also Elvis ( alias Martin Krankemann), he was there as well, sadly, we didn´t see us. ELVIS: next year we gonna coordinate it a little bit better, promised. Than you´ll ride for the Pirate team of the kingsom of Württemberg as well. Well, we all rode under the “Jolly Roger” and by attorney of our King ( Ron), here in Albstadt. Michael, Jens and Kai were quiet successful and Elvis and myself gave the others the wherewithal rear cover. So that we would be some more Pirates, Michael and myself did something not legal before the start. We recruited Claudia for the crew…RON, do you still know the jersey??? It´s one of the period of promoterism,or??? Really nice with the name on it…     Off we go:  86km and 1600m of altitude   If you take a look from behing on the orange pants, it´s look like a warning sign of a heavy weight truck ;-) Just to tell you before we start, this wasn´t the best course for the heavy weight truck. Very hilly, and too short steep ascent with following short steep downhill parts again, just to raise up again, this is what it felt to me. And because of that the course were very difficult to ride, we knew it by Michael. Hey you wimp, just do some technical training… My pulse felt like the bpm of a Speed metal song, around 300bpm or more… But this event is great and not to forget the large amount of viewers. I´ve never saw this, at a race befor, allright, only at the HH-Cyclassics maybe, but so many viewers at a regular race??? The viewers were alloted at every m of the 86km and also at the most impossible corners. You don´t expect a group of drumers and vibrating bells, when you enter a forest or a wide meadow…AWESOME… Just to give you a overview of the spectators, Ron will show you two neutral pictures of the ski jump tower of Onstmettingen, it was like a “ Tour De France “feeling.     Back to the race: I´m not anti nature, but somehow I cursed the forest. Suddenly you hear, next to your pulse of 300bpm, the announcer from the finish area. Just breath in and out, ride around the corner, and there it is the sign: 10km – shit…allright, the 30km to go sign was bad as well, but more depressive was the forest with its large number of ascents, but than somehow I escaped the forest, and I was really thankful to reach the finish.     Now a well earned „ Aprés Bikning” is on the schedule, so where is my coffee? I think Jens and Kai, will be on the start as well, and my friends, please wait for me next year until I reached the finish, even it last a little bit longer J Having said this, CU next year Albstadt and you´ll never walk alone.
