Castle-triathlon in Schwerin on the 17.07.2011

The weather forecast told something, that wasn´t very exhilarating, it should be raining the wole day. Anyhow, I travelled from SH ( Where it rained) towards the Capitol City of MV, where it rained as well. The inner city was locked for the event, what made it difficult for me to find a parking lot, but the police men were very kind, let me inside, and told me, how to get to a parking area near the transition area. The transition area was near by a main road. I wanted to compete on the sprinting distance( 0,75-20-5), here they called this triathlon,greater weever triathlon, even the 2nd premier league north was on the start here. Everything hre was really good prepared and organized, and optical it is a very wonderful triathlon. Swimming was in the castle lake, just to swim towards the castle of Schwerin, and shortly after the start of the swim, the rain stopped and the shine came out.   After the swim, right thru the transition area,and on the bike course, a 8lap course thru the inner city, with each round 2,5km. Afterwards the running part, with two rounds thru the park of the castle. In the finishing area you received lots of fresh fruits, cakes and cold “ Erdinger”. After all it was a wonderful event and I finished with a time of 1:23:36h, Greetings Mirko
