Pirate
Moin Pirates,

last weekend I participated on an Indoor-Triathlon in Stralsund. Last year I reached thr third place, so I thought to myself , this year it gotta be a little bit more. Having said this, I trained cadence very hard on the driven roller. I hoped that I would end up better on the bicycle ergometer ( like last year, you wasn´t allowed to use the resistance.

I was wrong…

After I swam the 500m in 7:16min, not bad for myself, I rode the shit out of me on the bicycle ergometer. Last year I thought, I would burn them( the guys here in the north) a hole in the floor, but it came different, after a short time, it became to hard for me riding and pushing the pedals without any resistance is not my favourite.

I just were able to reach 120 U/MIN, maybe another Pirate from the spining-part, got some hints for me. I was really totally exhausted after 10km, I needed 16:45min for that.

After that, we had to run the 5km on the treadmill, and I wanted to finish them under 20:00min, but my upper thighs were empty after the cycling, si I only reached a time of 20:10min.

Anyhow I reached the 2nd place by seconds, only 6 seconds in front my mate Sven and only 15 seconds behind the first.

Well, I was really satisfied with my second place, and I´m looking forward and I´m already motivated for next year, to reach the first place.

Prize, trophy and a fantastic atmossphere among the participants, were worth the burden of the travelling here by train passing un-endable villages between Berlin and Stralsund. Special thanks to the organizers of this event, something like this, they should made in every bigger city, just to warm up for the season. I m sure there are some gym´s with bicycle ergometer, treadmills and pool and in between you can do maybe a triathlon prparation market.

greetings  from  Berlin
