Ahoy Pirates

Mont Ventoux called me, and I followed, and I spent 8days their in a wonderful region, called Provence. Some kind of El Dorado for MTB and roadbike riders.

I build up my tent and base camp in Villes sur Auzon only 11km away from Bedon, where all of the riders who wants to ride the Mont Ventoux, are looking how much time they need. Handicap: 58minutes by Armstrong and Majo for the 22km, but there are lots more of courses to ride than the giant of the Provence, but sadly not everybody know that, and miss because of that a lot.

I rode with my roadbike as well with my MTB on the streets, it’s a good exercise for the strength.

The weather was the best you can get, every day about 30degrees, the right temperature for myself, but, don´t forget the wind. This year I rode up the Ventoux, by storm, whew. But I rode up there from Sault, there are three ways to get up there from Bedoin, Malaunce and Sault, but the most spectactular is from Bedoin.

8 times I was on the bike and 2times on my MTB and altogether I rode more than 800km and 12000m of altitude, I think that´s enough

The food and the beverages were really good.

If you wanna know more about the region, courses, places to stay, just ask me, what I can recommend you, but only until the first week of july, after that its getting crowded, because than the French and the Germans got holidays.

I hoisted our colors high even in France, and now let wait for the 3-country-giro, how we end up there.
