Every beginning is hard…

Like every season as well. Started at home to late, I should read the timetable better in the future… But it was no problem at this straightforward event with about 50 starters and time taking by hand, just put your name on the list, un-dress yourself from the turnout gear and getting started: My first contest in the season of 2011/2012. It was only a short course instead of the longer untis, which are normally on my listed on my schedule. 7.4km right thru the Olympic Parc. The weather presented us some fog and so you weren´t able to see the Olympic Tower, but At least I stood awake at the starting line… I thought about the course for a short time, than the starting signal, first half a round in the Olympic Stadion and than heading for the country. Running along the „ Mittlerer Ring“ we are passing the Olympic Stadion and running halfway up the Olympic Hill. On the first km´s, I´m able to run with the guys in front, but than I had to let go, because of the lack of time, exercise and a cold. I´m not able to hold the speed, I crossed the finish line on the 14th place with a time of 29:06min for the 7,4km. It´s a good time for me, and while I´m already in the finidh area, I enjoy myself about the hot tea and some discussion about the run with the other participants… Florian Kratz
