The whole elite of Kitzbühl were on the starting line as well, maybe because of the fact, that next year in 2013, the World Chmapionship will participate on this course. Well, so it would become a race for testing for the pro´s. And it was like this, and the local hero Alban Kakata won the race again.
While we had temperature around 37degrees, almost everybody had to struggle with cramps and the downhill sections were like horror…or sheer madness…
It lasted almost an hour and somehow I didn´t knew if I even would make it by feet.
The participants who participated here for the first time looked very helpless or perplexed, and the faces could tell you a story of how hard this race is.
Not to forget to mention the 4400m of altitude, and in between you also had to solve the Mausefalle ( mouse trap )
Thank Godness, just 30% across, because the ascents got a decline of almost 70%.
Again, like last time, I was really good supported by my very own Pirate-Support-team.
Thanks to my sister Maria and her friend Hans-Peter
Lots of greetings
Michael
