5 KM Pacemaker…!!! I can´t do that…!!! J

Old ship´s cobold…!!!
Heike wanted to run the 5km at her own contest of the DJK and that, as fast as she can. I just laughed out loud firstly, not because of the fact, that she couldn´t do that, it was about the fact, that such short distance is nothing for me who is used to the longer distances. I need at least a couple of km´s to find my pace, but don´t care… Somehow, it will work, I thought to myself…

And so, things getting started…
Pirate

We started in the stadion  and than we entered the course. AS ever, everybody started as fast as they can, with a 3:35min/km on the first 300m, like they were really mad. Of course b having this cold and slippery conditions running a curve a harder than usually…

But who care´s, we ran the first km in
3:54min, but this course was harder than I though, it was flat but…and windy of coure. I got Heike on my back until 3.5km than we had to run a little bit uphill, but still we ran a time around 4min. After 3.5km the course went downhill and we accelerated and we were on time, for finishing under 20min. The last meters of the run, were again in the stadion. AFterall, the course was really angled and twisting.

Fantastic…!!! Heike won the run with a time of 19.48min
Sadly, alittle bit to slow, because she wanted to run a
19:30min, maybe it was because of the cold weather conditions and so Heike weren´t able to breath right.

But at least she was satisfied and she did it with just having run 25km a week…

There was something spezial of this run.
Jonas, the oldest son of Heike ran his first 5km run after a long break because of his hip operation.
