Pirate
Berlin, Berlin

At the  Velothon in Berlin we were temporarily up tom9 Pirates who rode together and that really fast, and we also reached our goal of an average speed over 40km/h even with a flat tyre.
We started early in the the morning at 5:30o´clock in Hamburg and soon the sun rised and Stephan took a picture of me to show it the other Pirate at the 24h down in the rainy Munich on FB.

I wear my sunglasses at night…

Wetold/wrote them: We´re on the way to the sunny Berlin, maybe you can lent us your sun lotion, I guess you won´t need them in Munich. At this time, it was raining in Munich for at least 3 hours.

Jost was the last one to arrive at our meeting point, but he´s excused because he got the furthermost arrival ( he lives in Berlin).
I just called to say…

Fastly heading fort he start…

Jost still with his blankie...

During the race it was possible for us to take some pictures, I glued my hands to the bars. At the start, we met Ben and than we started with 9Pirates for the Velothon, later we were joined by an unknown Pirate, he did a good job within the team, but sadly I forgot his name…
Durning the race we lost some, sometimes we were just 3 than 5 again and shortly before the finish, Mario had a flat tire ( tubed tire), but I was able to help him, with our TIP TOP BREAKDOWN SPRAY by our sponsor.  Further we met Schoki atanding by the side with cramps…but Mario and myself now got our “ tunnel vision”, we wanted to reached our goal the 40km/h average speed.  We lost most of our comrades in arms but we did it. YES…

At the end we reached thr 60th place of 115 teams..
Jost (replacement rider for Christian Besstmann) and Ben are not on the official list, because they weren´t registered as Team Pirates.

After all it was a fantastic Sunday with wonderful guys in Berlin
I´m really looking forward to my next mission.
