Brunsbergrun 2012

The hill of Brunsberg is with ist 129m one of the largest hills of northern Germany in the moorland. And the Brunsberg run is a 11,5km cross-race, with about 2km to run on bitumen, and the rest is really ambitious, because you have to run over stones, sticks, and a constant up and down.

Everyone who don´t know the course, cheers up after point 4km of the run, because at this point the Brunsberg is behind you, but some others know, that still 6 hills are about to come over a really uneven ground and some deep sand parts.

The race starts on the sorting field in Holm-Seppensen, you ran past the station into the forest with lots of root trails, right into the wonderful hell valley, where you got to climb at the end to leave it.Than you exit the forest and got a look over the wonderful bloomy moorland, when your view follow the way, you will see the way vanishing after a tree...

After the curve behind the tree, you´re almost there, just some hills up and down, not very steep, but steep. Forest and moorland will keep a constant change and the ground aswell. Now every single hill hurts more and more. Finally leaving the forest, back in town and after such a long time, you´re ack on the sporting field again, just one last round around it and crossing the finish line.

It was a wonderful run, really good organized, with an ambitious course and some m of altitude.
