German Cross Country Race in Goldbach

Moin, at the 21.07.2012 we drove to the German Cross Country race in Goldbach. We started at 8:00o´clock, towards Frankfurt and what we have? Just rain again. When we arrived at 10:30o´clock, the place was already crowded, but finally we found a space, right next to the restrooms. Just, after the arrival, I got my papers and we rode for the check in/up of the maschines. It kept raining and I was remembered of such a muddy race like in Walldorf. But, when it was time for the warming up, the sun came out, and soon the ground became really good, with very good grip. 13:00  was the start. Now I got a brand new E-Starter form y bike, no more kicking to get the maschine on, and so soon after the start after the first curve I was on the 3rd place. As usually, you got your engine off, when you hear the starting signal, you can turn on your bike and keep on going.  The start is divided into groups of 30, my number was 130, but I was able to made my way to the 50th place after two hours of racing. My engine went like a clockwork and I was in really good shape. I also tried to ride the race without a stop to gain some more places, but sadly my maschine were really thirsty, and that happened when I got into the last round, I rode half a lap and than…Engine off, no fuel anymore. Have you ever tried to run by wearing cross boots? Finally when I reached the box without my bike, I was looking for Martin and Roman, who already waited for me at the finish line. Damn they looked funny, when they saw me by feet running thru the box. After all I slipped back on the 74th place of 132. But at least I´m satisfied with my result and next time, Martin and Roman, will have some work again in the box. I like to say thank you to them, for their help and support.
