2nd place in Pirmasens a the 17.06.2012

Last year we won the team-ranking in Pirmasens of the women and won a challenge cup, because of this we had to participate here again this year, to bring back the cup and  or not to defend it. Sadly our runner cancelled the race and we had to find a new runner and because of this we weren´t that strong like last year. Last year I gotta tell you, we won with 20min ahead of the 2nd team. And I just arrived back from the Trans Germany, bulletin will follow and I received a stomach flu in the week before and wasn´t sure if I would be really fit and in shape for the race. We started with 1000m of swimming in the open pool of Pirmasens andour swimmer finished it with a time of 18:04min, so we already were 2min behind the first and the second, still possible to catch… I rode really good, even faster than last year and also collected lots of mn, but no women in sight, at least, the gap didn´t become larger. Ineeded for the 32km 1:31:07h with my MTB. At least faster than last year… Now it was Esther´s time to come fort he closing and ambitious 10km run. The leading team was already to far away, but the 2nd place was within reach. And??? Yes, Esther did it, she was able to pass the 2nd one and so we ended up on the 2nd place overall and age-group.
