I haven´t read here anything in the last past in the language of the wonderful state of Bavaria…
A little bit late but… Here a small bulletin of the MTB-race in Riva.
For our first race of the year we travelled to Zäh, we had a long cold winter with lots of snow in the mountains and it´s still there over 1000m, so you can´t train a mountain exercise unit without you ski shoes.
Even when we arrived in Riva, the Altissimo and the Tremalzzo were greeting with snow covered peaks.

First of all I thought, take a look, what´s they offer and than choos what you´re up to, and so I did it. I decided myself for the short distance” Ronda Piccola” with 5km and 1660m of altitude.
Every year, the amount of riders are rising, this year weh ad more than 2300 partipants at the starting line, it was a very long queue while we started out of 6blocks.
And so, what happened? Yes, at the first ascent after 5km in Arco, we had the first traffic jam and so I pushed my bike the hill for 15min with all the others.

After 20km, which were really ambitious and steep, we reached the first food supply station in San Giovanni.

Sadly there wasn´t too less, in my opinion, single downhill trails. Anyway, even with all the bad words and all the sweat, it was really nice to ride thru all the olive fields and narrow alleys at the “Lago”…
Leider gabs für meinen Geschmack  zuwenig boanige („beinige“, „knackige“ ) Trials bergab….

After all, I wasn´t really satisfied with my results or my endurance, but at least I got some good excuses fort hat ( it wasn´t my bike just a rent one, I had a crash, not enough time fort he preparations, wanna know more…???). But anyway, just participating is the most important reason and it was a really nice weekend.

Greetings

Fritz
