Biketrial Pirate Marcel Ahrens @Hessencup 2012 Fürstenhagen Result: Class: „Expert“ 1st place

Now it was time again fort he annually Trophy of Hessen at the 16.07.12. To know: you had 6 different section to solve with each 3 times 3 rounds and you had to be thru with them, within an hour. For each section, you only had a couple of time, like an example 2minutes. When this time is all over, the rider who still is on the course recieves 5 penalty points and the first round is over. Every rider gets a card with him, and after each section the judge will charge him or not, by how many mistakes he made in this section. When every rider  has finished every 6 sections, he had to hand over his card and he gets a new one, so, every round a new card. At the end, they will count every penalty points together for the final result. If you get with one foot on the ground, you´ll recieve one penalty point and if you get on the grounds with both, you recieve 5pen.points and the round is all over for you. On the day before I already inspected the course, and the hindrances which were very hard. I decided myself to start in the class 3: experts, because the level in face off last year has raised a lot. Below my class werethe classes: advanced, hobby,beginner and smiley. Next time, I´ll start inthe strongest class, the elite. The limit for each class were 10 riders. Now the time has come, thank god, the weather was allright, if I only think about, this contest and rain and mud, no go. The first section was quite easy, but very long, you can see it by the following pictures. It started with rocks, than downhill sharp turn to 3 concrete plates, when arrived at the top, you had to ride over a thin woodbeam onto the concrete pipe and down on the other side again. It´s not comparable to riding on a street, like in my movies, in downtown, on school fields or if you train for 3 to 4hours or if you´re riding a championship in the nature. Where you have also to coordinate, with you weight, not to forget the balance and of course the endurance. Also you got the running clock,the loose grounds the hills, up or down. During the first round I had lots of problems and so I  had in the firt two section 5 pen.points, but it became better during the 2nd and 3rd run. At these section, which I liked the most, you had to conquer the rocks uphill, with a small turn to another rock than further up... On the last section you had an additional hindrance…when you arrived down on the meadow on another rock, you had to get over a small muddy creek. My problem was, that my rim was not as usually with cut-off grinding, this time I used bitumen on it, to get a better pressure point. The problem is, when it gets wet,the pressure gets off. Finally it was time fort he winner ceremony, and I became first. I´m very happy about it and the trophy. Special thanks to my team, you´re the greatest.
