Cup of Germany in Lohne near Vechta at the 21.10.2012

Today, was the day for one race of the Cup of Germany in Lohne, all around the tower.We already knew the course and the weather was really good, maybe a little bit to warm to ride cyclo-cross. By the way, the race is not far away from our house, and so we had to participate at this race, with the words of this slogan: All the pro´s are at the start and the Pützens… Tanja had to start first of us in a huge women field, even Benita was there, too and so I could cheer up some more Pirates. While Benita took the 8th place, Tanja wasn´t really able to get into the race. Right at the starting line there were just grumble´s and at the first uphill section was a traffic jam and also she choose the wrong tyre pressure and, and… SO, all the motivation was gone, but at least she finished the race and ended up on the 27th place, but wasn´t really satisfied with this, but at least she won some experiences. For myself, I already knew before, that I was just here to collect experiences and it went like that. The first 3 rounds went wuite good but than, I remarked the lack of exercise and m lap time became every round twenty seconds slower than the round before and soon I was being passes by the first, but than I knew when I was passed, with line I had to rode and was amazed of the fact, how fast they can ride up a hill. Finally I ended  up on the 34th place, but I can hardly await the next race, obviously it will be in the Netherlands. See you soon… Guido
