Hello Pirates .

At the 08.07.2012 I presented our colors in Wardenburg. A small town near Oldenburg. At an event called” Summer run of Wardenburg”. You could choose between 3 different courses: 5km, 10km or the half-marathon distance.. Well, I decided myself to run the half-marathon.  The weather wasn´t the best for the viewers and spectators, but for the runner it was really good. A few clouds, sometimes some drizzle and at the end of the race, we also had some sunshine, but at least comfortable temperatures. Now heading for the start. The start of the half-marathon was together with the start of the 10km at 14:30o´clock. On the 10km run,they had 385participants and on the half-marathon about 190 participants. I wanted to run with a pace of 5min/km. Becauseit wasn´t my first half-marathon, I knew how to run it. I had a good start, even the fact, that you everytime start to fast, because of the others. >The course was also nice, you had to run over bitumen, forest and meadow paths, but all flat… Sometimes the ways became a little bit muddy because of the rain. When we reached the 8km mark, the course splitted, the 10km had to turn right and the half-marathon runners to the left. Until the 17km mark, everything went good for me, but than my legs became heavier, tired and started to slow down, anyhow, I made it and finished with a time of 1:45h. I was all satisfied with this time. The race was really good organized. You had a supply stand every 2,5km. Finally I ended up on the 72nd place of 190 starters.
