18. Wildeshauser evening run at the 9. June 2012 (2 km, 6,4 km, 12,5 km) Here just for you my bulletin of the 18th evening run in Wildeshausen. I didn´t know anything about this run before, for though I only live 25km away. Ir ead about it in the newspaper and I decided myself to register for it. You could choose between 3 different courses: 2km, 6,4km and 12,5km. I decided to run the 12,5km run.
Hello Pirates.
It should be worthwhile. The start was at 19:00o´clock. Perfect, so I would be back fort he soccer game of Germany, I thought to myself. Sadly the start was about 20min delayed. Don´t care, I wanted to run the 12,5km with an average speed of 4:55min/km.
The course was ambitious, it got some uphill parts and most of the time open areas so you were alble to get to know the wind by his surname. We had to run over gravel and bitumen, but it was a wonderful course, I gotta say at this point. Soon, after the that the field of 80 starters splitted.
I was bale to run in the first third of the field. I had quite a good day and finished with a time of 59:07min. This was an average speed of 4:47min/km and overall I ended up on the 26th place and in my age-group on the the 5th (40).
