Moin Pirates,

My 2nd 24h race this year I rode in Wittenborn together with Daniela, Stefan and Torben as a 4mix team. I arrived by train, it rained until Hamburg, than I took the bus to Bad Oldesloh and Fahrenkrug, where the Capt´n already waited for me and put me in his van. After we arrived at the camping site, we had some tea with the other Pirates. The rain stopped with the start of the race, sadly the course didn´t pay much attention of it, and so I had to fought my way on my Race Kings from Conti thru the mud and over roots. Nothing helped, not even the loosing of pressure in my tyre. I was on the 3rd place when I entered the forest and after two rounds I changed to Torben. We rode on and on and on, first we did two, than by nightfall we changed to three rounds, and when it became dark, we changed with a 4 round rythm, to get some sleep. We thought we were uite good, even of the fact, that I never was passed and in the night I was even able to pass some fast guys of the Specialized and HSW-Team. But I never saw the guys of the Kivelo-Team. But they didn´t bothered us very much, just about the fact of the overall rounds you did. Sadly, the time and round measurement was nt available and so we just rode on and on, and on... The course was really ambitious, while slippery and the trails, downhill and technical hindrances demand almost everything of you. It was very hard, even by in the night to stay awake and fully concentrated. At 4:00o´clock in the morning we finall knew, that we led the 3mix-team-ranking. The guys from Kivelo, just had four rounds more than us, but we never saw a chance to pass them, nd to get the un-official title of riding mostrounds. At 13:00o´clock, everything was over, and we won the 4mix-team race. Some spezial thanks to the Team Pirate and all the other riders and of course the enemies, it was a very fair and good race.
