A Triathlon in Gladbeck

It was a rainy day, like almost every day this year, here in the Ruhrgebiet. I wanted to participate at the triathlon in Gladbeck. Last year I did my first triathlon ever here,  but last year weh ad sunshine and comfortable temperatures and this year??? We had rain and 8degrees.Luckily the rain stopped during the swim. I had a bad swimming and needed more than 22min for it. Now it was time to push the pedal to regain some places. The bike course was not just wet, it also had lots of ponds. We had to ride 7rounds and I was able to catch one after another. Luckily the course dried up during the race and after 1:06h I made my was into the transition area again. It was quite hard to get into my shoes because I had almost no feeling in my feet. I had to warm up my feet on the upcoming 10km run. The feeling inmy feet was weird but soon it became easy and comfortable. As you can see on these pictures I had fun on the 4rounds thru the parc and the stadion. Thank you Sportograf for the pictures. For the run I needed about 42minutest and finished overall 26th of 90 and 2nd in my AG of 5 with a time of 2:15:38h. Now, let´s hope for better weather for the next contests and chain mostright Henning
