My first contest of the year  2013..

I absolved it Trier by participating at cross-duathlon. It was called cross of the aces, with the distances over 5km run, 26km bike and 5km run again, It also was the university and national Championships of Rhinleland-Palalinate. SO, I rode on the 10.03.2012 to Trier. The start was at 13:30o´clock, so I hadn´t to get up right in the middle of the night. When we arrived and received my starting package, it started to rain and so it would be more fun on the course during the race… Luckily the rain stopped until the start, but to be safe, I placed my bike shoes in a plastic bag. I ran the first 5km in 23:27min, but I was almost the last, because the race was well-staffed, and everybody started to run like maniacs. Than I got on my bike, 4rounds with about 800m of altitude, but nothing to hard except one muddy downhill section, but the large amount of ascents were quite energy-sapping. But I was able to re-gain some places on the bike. After 1:26:25h I was back on the running course. Again, two time the stairs and they hurt in the last round even more… In spite of that, my effort was worth it, because when I checked the results, I saw, that I was on the 7th place overall and 3rd in my AG, and 3rd in the university ranking and 1st of the National Championship of Rhineland –Palalinate, allright, for another club, but with a Pirate jersey I think, the season can go on like this… Doro(thee Richters)
