Something new every season. I stood with 80 other riders on the starting line. Sadly the weather conditions were really bad. Because of the rain, the condition of the course became really bad and because of this the course was shorten. Just 1h race, instead of 2h. Anyhow, I was really looking forward for the first race of the season of 2013.
Than it was time fort he countdown and to start the race. The start was mine, and I was the first on the road, well course ( Hole shot).
What I saw? Just mud and more mud. It was no fun riding here, just hard work. It asn´t about riding fast, it was just, finishing safe and secure and heatly. After 35min I was on the 6 place but than came a really bad round.
In the last but one round, I became weak and weaker and wasn´t able to hold the bar for sure and crash 3 times. I lost lots of places.
After 1:04h I crossed the finish line on the 25th place. I was relieved to finish. I almost had no strength anymore to hold myself on the bike. Thank you Franzi that you ruined your shoes to help me.
