After a long and hard time of dicussions and decisions, the voluntary
P-Weg will take place at the 11th and 12th of september.
After none of the three forest owners between Birnbaum and Teindeln
wanted to give us their agreement for using the trails on that
weekend. It looks like no other possibility to for arrange a P-weg,
if you wanted to race on some other trails, and of course shorter,
and they were difficult to find. There had to make lots more of
arrangements, insecure arrangements. But would have lost lots
of time, even by positive reaction.
But the P-Weg Team found a for long time barred possibility after
lots of ineffective talks, we found a loophole to organize the
beloved marathon-weekend. The changed course will be pronounced
shortly after everything is arranged and all the details are cleared.
But what happened in the last weeks and lead to such a difficult
situation??? After all of the 133 forest owners received a letter,
twice, we had all the agreements except for 5 owners. 60% of the
owners signed their agreements for using their trails and forests.
With 4 of them we talked in private and lead as well to positive
reaction with a few variations for the using or avoiding their
trails.
At this time we( The P-Weg-Team) like to say thank you to for
their support. As well we´ll like to say thank you, for our needful
hands, for there actions ( petition of the doctor´s house, the
Club of TUS Plettenberg/ Team Handball ) and thru personnal talks.
As well, we´ll like to say at this point, that the other forest
owners, who didn´t give their agreement right away, aren´t against
the P-Weg marathon weekend, they say, they find the burden of
all the hiker, the nordic-walker and the bikers as a problem for
the nature.
We already tried for the last 4 years, to talk with the members
of the forest owners, the hunters to made up a “ CODE OF HONOR”
and some rules of behavior and a two-way throughtfulness. You
can find it on the homepage ( www.p-weg.de / fair with me). These
such important informations and helpful hinds for orientation,
will hopefully lead to a better understanding.
Even for the other actions, similar to these, like the events
of the PTV-Plettenberg or from SK Oestertal, it will lead to a
better cooperation for all.
But all concerned people have to approach to each other and to
be ready to listen to the problems and needs of the others.
But when all the hiker, walker and biker behave very irresponsible
in the nature and forests and get themselves over the law and
rules, it surely won´t lead to a better understanding of all forest
user.
While the voluntary P-Weg team is very keen on, that all concerned
people will have a common device: Plettenberger for Plettenberg.
And this is the most important thing to think of as a basic requirement
for the P-Weg and if not…it would be the end for this so popular
marathon event. I few aren´t able to find a solution which fits
for everyone and for better improvement. Our rational appeal to
all the hiker, walker and biker to respect the laws and rules
and on the other side to the forest owners to encounter more friendly
and to behave respectfully.
Now, an influential time full of work is about to start, because
of the long time without knowing if the P-Weg will take place,
while looking for agreements and compromises for the weekend,
we couldn´t start with the preparation of the weeken.
We´re very thankful for all the rear cover from the local economy,
our old sponsors, who soon said they´ll help us again, at the
P-Weg 2010. Of course, we´re very thankful as well for new sponors
to help us with the weekend to separate the burden on some more
shoulders and to become more economy independent. Companies who
