The Regensburg Triathlon was the last stop before the World Championship in Hamburg

I already have 7 triathlon competitions over the Olympic distance (0,9m/1,5km swim, 24.8m/40km bike, 6.2m/10km run) in 2007 on my long list of preparationfter the long list of preparation. The competitions in Amberg, Munich, Bad Tölz, Schliersee, Karlsfeld, Auerberg and Regensburg should give me enough strength and routine to participate in the world championship in the age division AK 35 of the national team on September 2nd in Hamburg. This year, especially the really challenging Alpine triathlon at Lake Schlier, 4th place and the one in Regensburg, 3rd place in my age division, went very well. Race record of the Regensburg Traithlon on August 8th 2007: 0.9m/1,5km, 24.8m/40km, 7.5m/12km.

Preparing for the start.

Mood like in Roth, freezing water (62°F/17°C).

Start of the swim from hell.

Switching to the bike for a very challenging 24.8m/40km.

Off on the run. An absolutely TOP event with world class catering.

Crossing the finiah line in radiant sunshine, wearing the pink jersey. Is there anything better?

Result: swim 26:43, bike 1:00:45, run 42:04 = 2:09:32, 3rd place in the age division AK 4, 27th overall.

Greetings from Munich,

Daniel
