Job-related I had almost no time to cycle or anything else
and this year it started almost the same and I could only
train a little bit in the Gym because of my commuting between
home and work. But now the removal is over and I had the time
to start my first Marathon in Saalhausen, at first on the
short track…
You`ve to say a real breathtaking backcountry.
In the morning we had beween 7 and 8 degrees
What I thought about this, I`m sure you can read it in my
face? Altthough, is it really me? Must be before the face
painting...
After 15 minutes in the race the cold – now 9 Degrees – was
forgotten and didn`t bring out a problem anymore. In the last
but one Startbox I met Mallorca Paule, who wanted to cycle
a bit before going on holidays…
As I heard from the other participants, the course changed
in comparison with last year. If this would be the optimum
is to doubt. Almost to begin in the forest was a Serpentine-Increase,
where almost every rider had to shift his bike up,because
obviously nothing went on up-hill.
After a few meters in the forest, we came to a downhill passage,
where we had to shift our bikes again. Some of the starters
considered about giving up,because we were here to cycle and
not to walk...
What I noticed that from the beginning we had comparatively
various of flat tyres.while the condition of the track wasn`t
the matter of fact for this. In the end I came very passably
over the course and had lots of fun again, but the track requires
some improvements.
And Finally I had to remove some mud…
Wait and see, how it looks like in 2 weeks in Siedelsbrunn/
Hessen.
Jens Martin started over the middle-Distance and finished
4th in his Age-Group only seconds after the 3rd…
Good-Bye
