Exercise camp „Racees“ on Gran Canaria

Our team of Benita/ Robert were really succesful on the first island race... Challenge Gran Canaria – Cycling Challenge on the 25th march 2011/ roadbike 2nd place women overall : Benita Wesselhoeft 1st place men Masters 40 : Robert Karrasch On the following day, we rode on out MTB, as we mentioned before. Finally again, some mud and dirt. I grabbed the rear wheel of Robby, but I soon I had to find another one, because he was too fast for me, but at least, all the other girls were far away and so I could made up my way over stairs, a river and some brushwood, as well like a dry creek, lots of cliffy ascents and one stair up a water supply dam. At least nothing happened to my bike, and I got only some bruises on my elbow and I had had to climb some stairs again. J  Sadly, my friend was too fast for me,like all the other guys as well.  With results like this, we could be satisfied, with these two days and it was pure fun of course. Next year we should stsrt here again and hopefully they´ll have some more mountains.
