Everything started up with the subject “crossing” while I boughrt
myself a corbone cross fork from Focus at Ebay and a Cube aloy-frame,
which ran under the category of Trekking and cross-frames. But
it was the wrong choice, I wasn´t quite happy or lucky with the
bike while riding it cross country.
So what...I needed a new frame and found it at www.bikeparts-24.com
in Aachen. The frame had the same height as the Cube frame but
the top tube or cross bar was 3cm shorter than the other.The price
is allright, the frame is allright and even the contact and service
of the guys in Aachen at bikepart24 was allright and nice. Take
a look at there web-page, s.a. or visit them, they even got a
shop in Aachen. They built up your dream bike with yout measurements
and they also have some MTB and roadbikes in offer. If you order
something you got the choice with endless variants of stickers
and designs, even if you wanna color your bike in your dream color
in matte or bright for just 5,00€ extra.
I got my frame back after only 2 weeks of waiting in my favourite
color and for first my daughter Timika grabbed it and asked me,
if it was for her. But I could make sure, that she already got
a pink bike and that it was not her bike, but she always keep
telling me that pink is just for mamas and not for dads.
One requieremnt for my first cross-bike was, that it would be
a low-bidget bike. I didn´t take a thought at weight or something,
I didn´t care about it. But luckily I got lots of parts left for
my new bike. So, I fixed with sysem wheels by Rolf as well like
Canti-brakes from my first MTB from 1995. I even got some tyres
for only 10,00€, which are really good. But, I needed a new crank,
so I´m a totally compact-foe, I thought a compact crank will do
it on my cross-bike. But sadly it was the wrong choice with a
transmission of 50/34 I´m not able to get something done while
I´m cross-country. The big one is to big and the small one is
to small. Just easy this conclusion.
But finally, I´m satisfied with it, okay all but the transmission.
A fantastic croos-biuke in pink, which makes lots of fun riding
it, and it Cube-trekking frame, what willbecome a trekking bike
shortly.
