Run ´n ´ Rock cultural heritage running series, 1st run Jahrhunderthalle ( century hall ) Bochum july/2010

Maren finished on the 3rd overall place at the Run ‚n´Rock cultural heritage run at the Jahrhunderthalle/Bochum Criss-cross thru the cultural heritage of the Ruhr in the year of the cultural capital city 2010 ran 2 Pirates from the Team Pirate Triathlon, as well like runners of all age-groups just for fun or because of the fantastic prizes. Of course we ran just for fun. We tried ourselves on the 5,3km course, so called splitted half-marathon. The weather forecast said it would be a hot da and so it was we had hot and humid 30degrees. For beverages at the run and afterwards was worried about...2 station on the run and at the finish. For cheering up the temper for the run we had life music from local bands. Because it was our first run this year we queued up behind the field, just to give it a relaxed run, what would be a big mistake we remarked at km 2 of the race. We had to pass every moment and second, it was like a giant slalom. I was the pace maker and ran right before Maren. On the second round, it became a ltiile bit easier so we could bring the race easy and relaxed to an end. The fun was all over after 26minutes and Maren finished 3rd overall at the ladies. Gratulations. The hot waffles and of course the „ Bochumer Curry Wurst“ ( curried Sausage) were well earned. Well starched, Maren could recieve her prize for the 3rd place. Maren 3. Platz women 3.
